BACKGROUND:

The forces of good are attacking the castle of the demon overlord!
As the overlord's right hand, your task is to protect the castle in his absence. When you see an army approaching you know you'll have to deal with them the only way you know: throwing powerups and dragons over the edge of the castle to join your army, so you can buy time until the overlord arrives and saves the day.

HOW TO PLAY:

Move with WASD or arrows , and use Space to interact.
Gamepad is not recommended, it's  recognized but doesn't work correctly (it will be fixed)

Pull the levers to ask for an item. The more powerful it is, the longer it takes to arrive, so think well what you need before pulling the lever. When it arrives take it from the box and throw it from the edge to join your army below you. You get basic reinforcements automatically over time, so you can throw them:

  • Armour. It will be added to the closest soldier or dragon.
  • Shield. It will block incoming attacks.
  • Small dragon. Has a bit more life than a common soldier.
  • Big dragon. Has much more life than a common soldier.

ABOUT THE GAME:

It was originally developed in around 40 hours for VimJam2. The game lacks some things that I wanted to make (even the page for the game is lacking), but I didn't have enough time to add it all, it doesn't even have sound effects for the actions, but I will update it little by little after the jam.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • It doesn't work well on fullscreen, so fullscreen button is disabled for now.
  • Gamepad movement doesn't work correctly.
  • The game is not enough well balanced. Times, life and damage will be changed.
  • Art is mismatched. I didn't have enough time during the jam to be picky about what images to use, and although I love the Craftpix packs style, I'll probably, someday, change some of the assets to fit better with the rest of them.
  • It clearly needs some kind of tutorial / explanation / intro / whatever , because not understanding the game seemed to be the #1 problem during the jam, and the 'how to play' ingame section wasn't enough.
